I am an Associate Professor of International Studies at the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, Indiana University-Bloomington. I am also a Research Affiliate at the Center for International Studies, MIT, and am currently a Zahedi Family Fellow at the Program in Iranian Studies at Stanford University.

My areas of research are in international relations and political theory, with particular focus on topics in liberalism, democracy, diplomatic history, and modern Iran.

I also dabble in gardening and landscape architecture.
